Mozambique: Cashew Nut Harvest to Exceed 85,000 Tonnes This Year |

Mozambique is expecting its cashew nut production to exceed 85,000
tonnes this year, 10,000 tonnes more than in the 2006/07 campaign,
despite the devastation caused by cyclone Jokwe which hit one of the
most productive cashew areas in March.

Tanzania: Cashew Nuts Board Wants New Act |

The Cashewnut Board of Tanzania and stakeholders
in cashew nut production are working on proposals to be included in the
proposed new Cashewnut Board of Tanzania Act.
The
current act dating from 1984 has been cited as outdated, barring the
board from implementing its full mandate to improve production,
processing and marketing of the crop locally and for export.

business was done W240 from 3.00 to 3.10, W320 from 2.80 to 2.85, W450
from 2.50 to 2.55, FB from 2.25 to 2.30, FS from 2.20 to 2.25 FOB.
