Senegal ACA country level meeting February 8 & 9 2007 Print E-mail
Senegal, with its crop of approximately 15,000 MT, is a relatively small cashew producing country, compared to its neighbour Guinea Bissau (appr > 100,000 MT). However, the private sector working in cashews is eager to organize itself, and collaborate to create a strong sector with a good reputation for quality and efficiency.

The ACA meeting in Nigeria on January 26th at the compound of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Ibadan gathered 35 cashew stakeholders to brainstorm on Nigeria's potential to improve quality of raw nuts and increase its processing industry.
